Hi! We're Simon and Jessica, the hosts behind Sagebrush on Fisher.
Our story actually started back in 1997 thanks to a shared love of music — specifically The Cure. We met online before meeting online was really a thing (no dating apps, no chat rooms… just a happy accident).
Simon was in New York, Jessica was in Texas, and by 1998 we were married right here in Houston.
Soon after, we started a small rock music apparel company called BandTees.com, while Jessica finished her nursing degree and worked in healthcare alongside the business.
Eventually our adventures took us to North Carolina, where our love of homes and hosting really began. In 2006 we bought a 100-year-old mill house, completely gutted it, redesigned it, and poured our hearts into making it special. We lived there for nearly a decade before eventually turning it into a short-term rental so guests could enjoy it too.
In 2015 we moved back to Houston, renovating another property along the way and eventually settling into the townhome that would become Sagebrush on Fisher. We loved its location in the heart of the city — close to everything, yet tucked into a neighborhood that's easy and enjoyable to explore.
In 2022 we sold our North Carolina home and began a new adventure in Fairplay, Colorado, where we now split our time between the mountains and our Houston spot.
Today we personally own and manage both properties, with the help of a small team that helps us deliver a five-star stay for our guests. We're involved in every detail and genuinely love creating spaces where people feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home.
And yes… we still love music. That's why you'll find a record player, a vinyl collection, guitar, and even a Cure poster waiting for you at Sagebrush.

Built in 2018, Sagebrush on Fisher is a three-story freestanding townhome designed with intention — every room, every detail, every quiet corner crafted for the way modern travelers actually live.
Tucked into Garden Oaks just steps from Houston's beloved Heights neighborhood, our home invites you to slow down, settle in, and pretend — even for a few days — that you actually live here. Walk to local breweries, distilleries, and food trucks. Cook a full meal in our chef's kitchen. Work from a dual-monitor office with internet fast enough to actually use. Then unwind in a jetted jacuzzi tub and call it a day.
This isn't a rental. It's a home we built for guests who care about details.

Chef's Kitchen
Fully equipped with everything you need to cook just about anything — pots, pans, immersion blender, even a zester. A keurig, pourover, Chemex, and grinder anchor the coffee bar.
Sleep in Luxury
Two king bedrooms with Serta iSeries hybrid plush mattresses and 55-inch TVs. A third bedroom with a queen. Each with its own ensuite bath. Plush towels. Soft linens. Always.
Work & Train
A double workstation with dual monitors and Herman Miller seating for those who travel with deadlines. A garage gym with a squat rack, free weights, bike, and pull-up bar for those who don't pause their routine.
Outdoor Patio
Fire pit, twinkle lights, a comfortable couch and chairs, surrounded by plants. This patio passes the vibe check — and then some.
Walkable Everything
Breweries, distilleries, an urban winery, and food trucks within a 1–2 block walk. Gatlin's BBQ and Shipley's Donuts a short drive away. The neighborhood is the amenity.
